FIA CEO NATALIE ROBYN is to “leave the governing body later this month to pursue opportunities elsewhere.” Robyn was appointed at FIA's first CEO in Nov. 2022. She “helped lead an overhaul of the FIA’s structure” and “pushed on with modernising its governance, as well as helping secure better financial stability.” But a “desire to get back to working in the automotive industry has prompted a rethink about her plans” and she has “reached an agreement with the FIA to depart at the end of this month” (MOTORSPORT, 5/8).
Adidas named recently retired WNBAer CANDACE PARKER President/Women's Basketball. It is a "first-of-its-kind role" for Adidas, in which Parker will work to "oversee product lines, expand the brand’s existing athlete roster and increase representation" among her responsibilities. She became the first woman to have a signature shoe with Adidas when her ACE Commander was released in 2010, "headlined multiple collections" with the brand and has "acted as a mentor for collegiate Adidas athletes" in the NIL era. MLS promoted MLS NEXT Pro SVP/Competition & Operations ALI CURTIS to SVP/Sporting Development. In the newly created role, Curtis will lead all areas of MLS NEXT and continue to manage the sporting side of MLS NEXT Pro. Additionally, Curtis will head On-Field Innovation throughout MLS. MLS NEXT promoted Senior Manager/Programming LUIS ROBLES to Technical Dir and named MLS GO VP KYLE ALBRECHT Interim GM. Both Albrecht and Robles will report directly to Curtis (MLS).
