LIV Golf named former PepsiCo SVP/Media, Sports and Entertainment ADAM HARTER CMO. Harter is already working in the role and is reporting to LIV CEO GREG NORMAN. He was with PepsiCo for more than 20 years before leaving at the end of 2022 (Josh Carpenter, SBJ).

CAA Sports’ hockey division named DAVID ABRUTYN Global CBO. He is the first to assume the position and will “help the firm’s roster of elite NHL talent build their personal brands, forge marketing partnerships and launch business ventures.” Abrutyn will be based out of CAA’s N.Y. office and work closely with PAT BRISSON and J.P. BARRY and collaborate with CAA Head of Hockey Operations/Marketing and Client Management JENNIFER ENTIN KARDOSH. Abrutyn, an original employee at Sports Business Daily when it launched in 1994 and a 2008 Forty Under 40 honoree, has spent the past nine years as a founding partner at sports investment firm Bruin Capital (SPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL, May 6 issue).

DAN MEIS and his 13-person MEIS Design Studio has joined AECOM’s sports design practice. Meis will serve as Dir/Global Sports Design, including oversight of a newly consolidated Americas Sports Group, including sports designers based in N.Y., K.C. and L.A. Meis was in SBJ’s inaugural Forty Under 40 in 1999 (Bret McCormick, SBJ).

WWE COO BRAD BLUM resigned from the company last Wednesday, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (N.Y. POST, 5/3).

USC named Oregon Health & Science University Foundation VP/Development & Chief Development Officer MICHAEL RORABAUGH Senior Associate AD & Chief Development Officer. The school also named LSU Associate AD & Chief Brand Officer CODY WORSHAM Senior Associate AD/Strategic Communications & Brand Advancement (USC).

Principal Communications Group Head of Special Projects JESSICA BRASLOW is stepping away from the company to join the communications team at Netflix (SBJ).
