LA28 adds education, career company Guild as new sponsor

LA28 has signed Guild to a sponsorship deal, adding the company as its official education, skilling and career mobility supporter.

Guild will provide education and career-development opportunities for Team USA athletes, many of whom prioritize their athletic careers at the cost of putting them behind their peers academically and career-wise when they finish their elite careers.

Guild will also provide one-on-one coaching. Eligible athletes will have access to a marketplace of education and skills programs, all tuition free.

Purdue Global will join as the preferred online university and degree provider and eCornell will be the preferred provider of professional education of the Team USA and Guild Learning Network.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Guild’s vision for a future of work that works for everyone aligns with LA28’s commitment to supporting the whole athlete, from their performance to their total well-being,” said Janet Evans, LA28 chief athlete officer. “As we prepare for the LA28 Games, we’re thrilled to partner with Guild to provide tools and opportunities to positively impact Team USA athletes.”

The addition of Guild as an official provider/supplier comes a day after LA28 confirmed to SBJ that Salesforce, a top-tier sponsor since 2021, and the organizing committee "amicably decided" to end that deal early
