Penguins postpone Jágr bobblehead night after theft

The Penguins announced today that they are "the victims of cargo theft" after someone "seized the shipment of Jaromír Jágr bobbleheads that were to be given to all fans" who attended tonight's home game against the Sharks at PPG Paints Arena and they now must postpone the promotion. All fans in attendance tonight will receive a voucher that "includes a scannable barcode that will be required to pick up the bobblehead at a later date." Location and dates for pickup will be announced "when the items are located or new bobbleheads become available." The Penguins' shipment of souvenir statues was "recently stolen after it arrived in California, and the team only learned of the news after it "failed to receive the shipment as scheduled." Jagr, who had his jersey number retired by the team on Feb. 18, will be in attendance tonight (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 3/14).
