ON, formerly GameOn Technology, secures $25 million in latest funding round

ON, the generative AI chat platform formerly known as GameOn Technology, announced a new $25 million funding round, bringing the company’s total funding raised to $80 million. Equiam, B3 Capital, Commonwealth Financial Network, and Mirae Asset Venture Investment participated in the latest round; Mirae Asset Venture Investment and B3 Captial (along with Mighty Capital) co-led a $35 million Series B round last December.

Founded in 2014 and based in San Francisco, ON rebranded from GameOn Technology earlier this year in a nod to its increasing prominence outside of the sports industry. The company partners with several teams and venues on enterprise-level chat integrations, which provide a conversational hub for event information, customer service, and commerce. That side of the business is still growing, with additions this year including the Jacksonville Jaguars, UBS ArenaUSLNew York Yankees and the WNBA's Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces. But the company says it will use this new capital as part of “gearing up to leverage its success in the sports sector and expand its footprint in e-commerce, while also diversifying into consumer banking, healthcare, and publishing.” Existing clients outside the sports industry include Armani and Valentino.

ON co-founder and CEO Alex Beckman was named a 2023 SBJ Power Player in fan experience technology.
