Colorado receives record-breaking donations for Buff Club

The Univ. of Colorado announced that its Buff Club "received a record-breaking" $28,037,617.10 in donations to CU athletics for FY 2023, according to Brian Howell of the Boulder DAILY CAMERA. This is the first time in the athletic department’s history that more than $20M was "raised in consecutive years." In FY 2022, the Buff Club raised $20.2M. The Buff Club launched the Flatirons Society in the spring, "honoring those who make annual leadership gifts of $10,000 or more." There are other benefits for those who "commit to multi-year pledges." According to CU, just over "200 donors met that standard prior to the launch of the Flatirons Society," but membership has "increased by nearly 100 donors." That group was "responsible for about" $14.3M in donations (Boulder DAILY CAMERA, 8/16).
