Earthquakes Begin Training After Getting Local Approval

The Earthquakes have returned to training in San Jose, "albeit in a limited fashion," becoming the "last of 26 MLS teams to gain local government approval to hold individualized sessions at home facilities." The training, which started yesterday and continues today, "involves only half the team each day because of social distancing restrictions." About 14 players trained yesterday in Earthquakes Stadium and the team’s training field for "almost 90 minutes." No more than four players were "permitted on the field at a given time" (San Jose MERCURY NEWS, 6/10).
