Kings Owner, Airbnb Exec Tout Sacramento As NBA All-Star Host

NBA officials are in Sacramento today to review the Kings' proposal for hosting All-Star weekend in '22 or '23. Team Owner & Chair Vivek Ranadive and Airbnb exec Chris Lehane, who helped advocate for the construction of Golden 1 Center, pen a special to the SACRAMENTO BEE under the header, "Sacramento Can Be A Great Host For NBA All-Star Game." They call Sacramento the "next great American city" while touting a "first-of-its kind partnership" between the Kings and Airbnb for a large-scale sporting event. With a "Global Pavilion stretching down Capitol Mall and a 30-minute travel guarantee, we envision a global celebration of basketball." They stress that extends to "accommodation options, including luxury hotel rooms and Airbnb rentals" (SACRAMENTO BEE, 3/14).
