Openfit Acquires LeBron-Backed Supplement Brand Ladder

Ladder, a sports nutrition company co-founded by LeBron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been sold to digital fitness platform Openfit. Ladder’s workout supplements will be sold by Openfit alongside live and on-demand fitness classes streamed on its app.

James and Schwarzenegger have been named partners at Openfit and will continue using their platforms to help grow the Ladder brand. The Openfit app offers trainer-led programs across HIIT, yoga, pilates, Tough Mudder, and more.

“With people shifting their focus to health and well-being more than ever, this acquisition is exciting for Openfit as it will allow us to continue our mission of serving even more customers with a unique combination of live trainer-supervised and on-demand fitness, nutrition, meditation and supplement offerings,” Jon Congdon, CEO of Openfit, said in a statement.
