Jaguars To Offer Full Refunds On '20 Season-Tickets, Other Plans

Historically, the Jaguars have had a no-refunds policy, but that was re-evaluated amid the pandemicGETTY IMAGES

The Jaguars will give full refunds to any season-ticket holder who asks before the start of the '20 season, part of a series of adjustments amid the pandemic-caused economic strife. Also, the team is selling a 2-year plan that would defer 40% of the cost of '20 tickets until next year if you buy seats for '21 as well. Historically, the Jaguars have had a no-refunds policy, but that was re-evaluated in light of the escalating unemployment and uncertainty about the duration of the crisis. Jaguars VP/Sales & Service Chad Johnson said that the 2-year plan is designed with small- and medium-sized businesses in mind -- people who face an extended runway back to normalcy but for whom Jaguars tickets are an important part of their business toolkit (Ben Fischer, THE DAILY).

FLEXIBILITY FOR FANS: In Jacksonville, John Reid notes the Jaguars also announced a "new ticket option -- 'Back to Football Flex Plan' -- that's available to both new and renewing season-ticket holders." As part of the plan, the team has "extended the deadline for existing season ticket members to renew their seats to June 5." No new payments for season tickets "will be required until June 20." Current season-ticket members, both renewed and non-renewed, "will have the option to include both games in their membership." Existing season-ticket members "facing a COVID-19 medical hardship are eligible to take a year off with no effect on their membership status or loss of their seats" (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 5/5).
