Cowboys, Ford Unveil 10-Year Naming-Rights Deal For Team's New Frisco Complex

Ford Motor Co. has signed a 10-year deal for naming rights to the Cowboys' new HQ and practice facility under construction in Frisco, Texas. Financial terms were not disclosed. The team's complex, part of a $2B mixed-use project, is now officially the Ford Center at The Star. Ford, a founding partner at AT&T Stadium, will have its logo attached to the exterior of the 12,000-seat indoor stadium, the centerpiece of the development. The stadium opens in August '16, and the Cowboys will share the facility with area high school football teams. The city of Frisco is a partner in the project. Separately, Lincoln Motor Co., a Ford division, has signed a marketing deal with the Cowboys for a high-tech space in Ford Center's retail portion to display its products. The terms and details of that agreement are still being worked out but will include permanent branding for Lincoln at the complex, said Cowboys Exec VP/Business Operations Chad Estis. The Cowboys announced both deals on Friday afternoon at the construction site.
