NHL still determining plans for upcoming awards show

The NHL still “hasn’t formalized a plan” for its awards show, and there is “no guarantee there will be a formal show this year,” according to Pierre LeBrun of THE ATHLETIC. The league “toyed” with the idea of having it in L.A. a few days before the NHL Draft in Las Vegas, but that is “not happening.” League officials are visiting venues in Las Vegas early next week to “see if they can find something that makes sense there on relatively short notice.” So, it is “still TBD on whether or not there will be an actual show.” But if there is one, it “makes sense it would be in Las Vegas” (THE ATHLETIC, 3/14).
