Appalachian State University promoted JONATHAN REEDER to executive associate athletic director. Reeder had been senior associate athletic director of internal operations.
Boston University named both KRISTIE BOWERS and BRENDAN SULLIVAN senior associate athletic director. Bowers was assistant athletic director for student-athlete support and development at Binghamton University. Sullivan was chief operating officer for the College of the Holy Cross. BU also promoted BRITTANY KANE to senior associate athletic director and BRIAN KELLEY to associate athletic director for marketing and communications.
Chicago State University announced CHRIS ZORICH is leaving his position as athletic director. Zorich was hired in May 2018.
Grand Canyon University announced that MIKE VAUGHT has resigned as vice president of athletics.
The University of Illinois at Chicago named ROBERT DIXON interim director of intercollegiate athletics. Dixon has served as the university registrar since 2002.
The University of Maryland Baltimore County named JESSICA HAMMOND-GRAF interim athletic director. Hammond-Graf was deputy athletic director.
Presbyterian College named ROBERT ACUNTO athletic director. Acunto was senior associate athletic director for development and external relations at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Purdue University announced that TIM HOUSE has assumed the leadership role of the John Purdue Club on a permanent basis. House had served as interim senior associate athletic director and assistant vice president of development. The school also named NICK LOGAN associate athletic director of leadership gifts and senior director of development. Logan was director of leadership giving and premium seating at Georgia Tech.
Robert Morris University named CHELSEA BLAKELY deputy athletic director, chief marketing officer and senior woman administrator, and KIM GRAHAM deputy athletic director and chief operating officer. Blakely was senior associate athletic director for external operations at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Graham was senior associate athletic director for operations at UTRGV.
Learfield IMG College named MATT MENDES general manager of Spartan Sports Properties at San Jose State University. Mendes was senior manager of premium sales for the Staples Center.
Stony Brook University promoted ROB EMMERICH to deputy athletic director and COURTNEY RICKARD to senior associate athletic director. SBU also named DEBBIE DeJONG senior associate athletic director for compliance. DeJong was athletic director at Long Island University.
Towson University named KYLE RAE associate athletic director for financial management. Rae formerly worked at Under Armour.
Wake Forest University named MURPHY GRANT senior associate athletic director and athletics health care administrator. Grant was head football athletic trainer and director of sports medicine at the University of Kansas.
The West Coast Conference promoted AARON WOLICZKO to senior associate commissioner for men’s basketball and sport administration. Woliczko was the WCC’s associate commissioner for men’s basketball and sport administration. The WCC also named DOUG DRABIK associate commissioner for external relations. Drabik was in the athletic communications office at Stanford University.
Western Kentucky University promoted ZACH GREENWELL to associate athletic director for communications and media relations, GINA KNUTSON to associate athletic director and senior woman administrator, and OLIVIA HIGGINS to assistant athletic director for marketing.
The Canadian Hockey League named DAN MACKENZIE as its first full-time president. MacKenzie was managing director of NBA Canada.
ESPN named former NFL punter PAT McAFEE as a football analyst. McAfee will be a commentator on both game and studio telecasts, including ESPN’s Thursday night college football slate and regular appearances on “Get Up!”
Leading Edge Pharms, a biotechnology company developing cannabinoid, named former NBA player JOHN SALLEY executive vice president of marketing.
March of Dimes development director HALLIE GOLDEN announced she will be stepping down.
SRSS named CHAD MENEFEE executive vice president of strategic intelligence. Menefee was senior partner at Luker on Trends Sports Poll, which was recently purchased by SRSS.
Turnkey Intelligence named ALEX MERCER director of marketing partnerships and JOHANNA WAY director of property consulting.
