Fox Shifting To Two-Man NASCAR Booth With Joy, Gordon
Fox Sports will officially move to a two-man booth in NASCAR for the first time this season, with Mike Joy and Jeff Gordon at the helm, a company spokesperson confirmed. Fox has had a three-man booth since it took over NASCAR media rights at the turn of the millennium. For years it was Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip. Fox moved McReynolds out of the booth to make way for Gordon in '16 -- though McReynolds still is part of race broadcasts -- and Waltrip retired last season.
Kevin Harvick has appeared to be angling for a potential post-career position as a broadcaster with Fox, calling several Xfinity Series races throughout the season as a guest analyst. But Harvick has never outright confirmed his intentions and says his current contract with Stewart-Haas Racing goes through '21.
