Fan Who Died Saturday At M&T Bank Stadium Stumbled On Steps
The man who died after falling in the upper deck of M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday during Titans-Ravens had "stumbled on the steps leading to his seat," according to Lillian Reed of the BALTIMORE SUN. Medical personnel "arrived but were unable to resuscitate" Michael Kahler. Ravens VP/PR Chad Steele said that security footage reportedly showed that S.A.F.E. Management, the company that provides the stadium's usher and security, "reported the incident less than two minutes after the stumble." He added that "within three minutes from the stumble, two EMTs arrived at the scene and began assessment and treatment," and within eight minutes, an "emergency doctor arrived." Steele said that within 14 minutes, Kahler received "additional emergency treatment in a nearby first aid room." Reed notes about 15 minutes later, Kahler "was taken in an ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma." Kahler, 30, was "an avid Ravens fan" (BALTIMORE SUN, 1/14).
