Phillies President ANDY MACPHAIL will be "honored by the Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation for his longevity as an executive," as he will "receive the Allan H. 'Bud' Selig Executive Leadership Award" on Jan. 11 at the PBSF's 17th annual In the Spirit of the Game awards dinner in Beverly Hills. MacPhail served as Cubs President & CEO from '95-'06. Before joining the Cubs, MacPhail spent 10 seasons as Twins GM and "constructed rosters that resulted in World Series titles" in '87 and '91. After his Cubs tenure, MacPhail was Orioles Dir of Baseball Operations from '07-11 (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/20).

THE GOOD STUFF: Dodgers P CLAYTON KERSHAW and his wife, ELLEN, partnered with TopGolf and the Int'l Justice Mission to "raise awareness on modern-day slavery, particularly in the area of sex-trafficking," by hosting a "Drive for Freedom" event at TopGolf Dallas yesterday (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 11/19)....The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation $2.5M for Badges for Baseball, a youth program that "pairs at-risk kids with military and law enforcement mentors in 21 states" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/19)....The fourth annual Taste of the Rams event, which featured RB TODD GURLEY, attracted more than 400 L.A. residents and raised over $150,000 to benefit the L.A. Regional Food Bank (Rams)....NBA Kings F HARRISON BARNES and his wife, BRITTANY, hosted 100 Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento youth and family members for a "complimentary dinner at Fixins Soul Kitchen" (SACRAMENTO BEE, 11/20)....Spurs F RUDY GAY "came back home to Baltimore to open up a basketball gym in Towson called PickUp USA Fitness." The gym "aims to provide a haven for the community and a place to train for younger players" (BALTIMORE SUN, 11/20).
