The Twins have one of the best records in baseball but are "still in the bottom half" of MLB teams based on attendance, according to Mark Reilly of the MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL. Through 43 games at Target Field, the Twins have drawn a total attendance of 1,107,152 and an attendance of 25,747 per game, which ranks No. 18 among MLB teams. The Twins' figures were "likely hurt this year by a cold and wet spring that kept fans away from the ballpark." A series of monthly and per-game promotional deals "seem to be helping things." After an "atrocious April" -- the Twins saw an 18% decline in attendance compared to April '18 -- the team has "nearly pulled even for average attendance through 28 home games" in '19 compared to the same period in '18 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/5).
