No damage or injuries "were reported" at the Raiders' under-construction Las Vegas stadium after Friday's 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit Southern California, according to Nicole Raz of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. Las Vegas Stadium COO Don Webb said the stadium was "thoroughly inspected" Saturday morning by an "independent testing firm, engineers and the project management team." He said that they "looked at all critical structural elements, especially where concrete and steel form the frame of the building." The Raiders' stadium will "ultimately be built with a variety of structural infrastructure designed to withstand seismic events" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 7/7). In Las Vegas, Alan Snel noted construction is "well underway" at the Raiders' HQ construction site near Henderson Executive Airport. There was also "no earthquake damage" at the $100M HQ site (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 7/7).
