Sources: Hubbard's Rival Gets First Client In Kroenke's Altitude Tickets

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment will be the "first client" for upstart ticketing outfit Rival, which was formed last year by former Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard, according to sources cited by Dave Brooks of AMPLIFY. The deal "unseats AXS Tickets," which through its acquisition of Veritix in '15 had "held the ticketing contract that powered Altitude Tickets, Kroenke's in-house ticketing system" for the Nuggets, Avalanche and Rapids. This marks a "big win for Hubbard." Few details of the deal are known, but sources said that the "deal was brokered" by KSE Vice Chair Josh Kroenke. Stan Kroenke also owns the Rams, but the Rival deal "does not include" the team or the venues within the $4B stadium development in Inglewood. The news is a "blow for AEG-owned AXS Tickets, which held the contract" since '09 when Stan Kroenke's ticket company Ticket Horse "struck a deal with Flash Seats, the digital ticketing brand of Veritix." Denver was a "test market" for the AXS ticketing system" (AMPTHEMAG.com, 1/8).
