Job Scope
Reporting to VP, Content Strategy, the Director of Multi-Platform is responsible for creating compelling multi-platform content, driving high-level strategy and overall growth of and all multimedia platforms. The objective/scope of this position is creating engaging content that connects with Chicago Sports Fans. This position will manage the Senior Producer, multi-platform producers/writers, manage digital partnerships, maintain the department budget, work closely with Digital Sales lead, heads of Content Ops and Development and identify and manage third-party revenue opportunities.

Drive "digital-first" content creation specific to our various web, mobile and social platforms

Work with heads of Content Operations and Content Development to create unique, entertaining content that performs on Multiple Platforms including social channels and engages viewers/fans throughout the day

Meet and/or exceed established multi-platform growth goals including live game streaming, fan engagement and content consumption metrics

Manage Senior Producer who oversees part-time contributors/staff and manage scheduling/travel of all Multi-Platform staff

Manage, along with VP, Content Strategy, the Multi-Platform budget, including staff expenses and allocated corporate costs

With VP Content Strategy, manage the editorial voice and tone of all elements published on website, mobile and social platforms

Oversee all digital-specific third-party partnerships

Work with Sr. Director, Multi-Platform Strategy (NBC Sports Regional Nets) on Corporate initiatives including TVE Streaming, Direct-to-Consumer Offerings, App Development and Website/Mobile web design and national third-party partnerships

Attend all Multi-Platform related NBC Sports Corporate conference calls, report new initiatives and updates to VP, Content Strategy and team

Liaison with in-house departments (Content team, live events, sales, marketing and engineering) to ensure all goals and initiatives are fulfilled including advertising campaign fulfillment

With Network strategy team, manage all online/mobile traffic and analytical requests and implement Content Strategy initiatives across multiple platforms

Manage Multi-Platform relationships with team partners including Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bulls
Minimum of 5 years of digital or multi-platform experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Desired Characteristics
Candidate will have created and/or led a team of digital platform(s) content creators, preferably from a media company of digital-first environment, an achieved significant growth metrics for content distribution across linear, digital and social platforms

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

A team player that can both lead and roll their sleeves up with the team that helps foster a fun work environment

Knowledge of professional & college sports, athletes, teams, etc. preferred.
