Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Minimum of two years running Tournament Operations or Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and golf tournament operations and tournament practices and procedures as would be acquired through three to five years of similar experience
  • Must have excellent communications skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


  • Manager will be responsible for conducting pre-tournament planning meetings with assigned tournaments, working through various checklist and reviewing the staging plan for each assigned tournament.
  • Review all operational aspects associated with tournament operations and communicate with Tournament Business Affairs, Rules, ShotLink, Competitions, Security and other PGA TOUR Departments in advance of the tournament. 
  • Monitor and approve tournament branding submissions and follow-up with the tournament and the Branding Marketing team on all submissions, including Title Sponsor Branded Elements for each tournament.
  • Manager will be assigned to one of the Tournament Business Affairs Peer Groups
  • Travel to each assigned tournament, conduct a tournament evaluation and produce a post Tournament Standards report for each tournament.  Additionally, organize and conduct a post tournament recap meeting following each tournament. 
  • Responsible for distribution of the Security Checklist to each tournament a minimum of six months prior to the tournament. 
  • Actively participate and assist with the PGA TOUR Brand Standards Committee to develop appropriate branding guidelines for tournaments and internal staff.
  • Process all business expenses for and follow company guidelines and policies. Special projects or other duties as assigned.
