Qualified candidates will have the following: 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA a plus)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Fixed Asset Project Cost Accounting or Construction Accounting and Asset Management  
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Experience in an accounting ERP system such as Lawson, SAP, Oracle, etc. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary (to include weekends, evenings and holidays) 

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for construction project cost accounting, tracking and maintaining capital spend vs. budget, asset classification, Asset Management in Lawson, document retention and assistance with reconciliations and analysis related to capital. 

Capital Spending and Accounting:

  • Track spend against budget
  • By project capital reporting
  • Review and coding of invoices
  • Payroll and Overhead allocations
  • Create Journal Entries
  • Record Assets in Lawson

Assign proper Asset Life for depreciation:

  • Document Management - Retention and Routing
  • Maintain and route invoices, contracts, etc.
  • Scan and maintain Journal Entries
  • Maintain files and data

Other

  • General accounting support
  • Clerical duties as assigned
  • Basic reconciliations
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed
