Albany State University named TONY DUCKWORTH athletic director/chief athletic administrator, effective Jan. 2. Duckworth is athletic director at Northeastern State University.

Chicago State University named ELLIOTT CHARLES directer of intercollegiate athletics, effective Dec. 16. Charles is associate director for compliance services at Clemson University.

Florida Atlantic University hired ANDY SEELEY as senior associate athletic director for external relations. Seeley was associate commissioner for external communications strategy with the Mountain West Conference.

Johns Hopkins University promoted GRANT KELLY to senior director of development, Homewood Programs; MEREDITH ROSENBLATT to director of development; STEPHANIE LITTLETON to associate director of development and hired ANNIE KOOGLE as assistant director of events and stewardship.

The University of Maryland hired JASON YELLIN as associate athletic director/strategic communications officer. Yellin was assistant commissioner for communications at the Big Ten Conference.

The University of Memphis hired LAUREN ASHMAN as executive associate athletic director/senior woman administrator, effective in January. Ashman is senior associate athletic director, Title IX deputy coordinator and senior woman administrator at Bowling Green University.

Football

The NFL named DASHA SMITH chief people officer. Smith was executive vice president and global chief human resources officer at Sony Music Entertainment.

Golf

Golf Canada hired PHIL PIAZZA in an advisory role for media relations, strategic content and business development. Piazza was senior vice president of programming at Golf Channel.

Hockey

The Los Angeles Kings named KYLIE SULLIVAN office coordinator.

Marketing

4Front promoted KATIE LACROIX to account executive, innovation, and DEREK STRIEGLE to director, digital.

The Aspire Group promoted BILL DUFFY to vice chairman and BILL FAGAN to chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1.

Professional Sports Partners hired STEPHANIE WEAVER MCKEE as senior director of brands and BEN CROOK as digital brand manager.

Media

NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California promoted JUSTIN HATHAWAY to vice president of content.
