Former hedge fund superstar Steve Cohen is reportedly in talks to purchase a majority stake in the New York Mets and become the team’s controlling owner in 2025. Cohen, whose listed net worth is more than $13 billion, would give the Mets the chance to finally behave annually like the major-market team they’ve always been.
