Adidas’ retro appeal is decidedly en vogue, and with Under Armour mired in a down cycle and the subject of a federal investigation, there’s miles of opportunity for Adi. It won’t catch Nike, but it can re-establish itself as the solid No. 2 sports apparel and footwear brand. Retailers and consumers are always looking for an alternative.
