Changing places and positions around the industry


The University at Albany announced the retirement of CHARLIE VOELKER as associate athletic director for external affairs.

The University of Arkansas-Little Rock promoted DARIUS MAIZE to deputy athletic director for internal operations and special projects.

Colby College promoted MIKE WISECUP to vice president and athletic director.

The University of North Texas hired CARL EVANS as senior associate athletics director for development; RYAN ENSELEIN and RYAN VARGO as directors of business operations; MATT CZIZEK as director of creative video; EMILY BAKER as assistant director of marketing and promotions; TYLER BURKS as coordinator for compliance; and promoted MATT CARABAJAL to senior associate athletic director for ticket operations; ANDY CRERAR to assistant athletic director for facilities and events; ALEJANDRA LOPEZ to director of development; and DAVID NICHOLS to director of ticket sales. Evans was senior associate athletic director for development at the University of North Florida.

Saint Peter’s University named RACHELLE PAUL athletic director. Paul was senior associate athletic director at Seton Hall University.

San Diego State hired TYLER MARIUCCI as associate athletic director for development and executive director of the Aztec Club. Mariucci was associate athletic director for sports administration and development at the University of Maryland.

The University of South Carolina-Upstate named LENNY MATHIS senior associate athletic director for external operations. Mathis was assistant athletic director for marketing at Wake Forest University.

Tennessee Tech University named LESLEY LOFTIS associate athletic director for development in addition to her current role as regional director of development.

Virginia Tech promoted PATRICIA MORAN to senior associate athletic director for business and finance.

Wellesley College named KATIE HOPPE senior associate director of athletics and the department of physical education, recreation and athletics.


ASM Global announced its executive leadership team: MARK ROZELLS as chief financial officer; CHUCK STEEDMAN as executive vice president, strategy and business development, arenas and stadiums; GREGG CAREN as executive vice president sales and business development, convention careers; DOUG THORNTON as executive vice president, arena, stadia and theaters; RICHARD KREZWICK as chief commercial officer; SHAUNA ELVIN as executive vice president, global talent; BOB MCCLINTOCK as executive vice president, convention centers; JOHN SHARKEY as executive vice president, European operations; HARVEY LISTER, chairman and CEO, ASM Asia Pacific; SHAUN BEARD, senior vice president, food and beverage.


The San Francisco 49ers hired RYAN CONNORS as director of partnership sales.


AEG Global hired NICKOLE RAYMOND as senior vice president, global portfolio.  

Collegiate Sports Management Group hired NICOLE DECOSTA as coordinator, client services.

Nations Group hired BOB AGRAMONTE to assist with strategic growth initiatives in the collegiate marketplace, related to owners representation, advisory services, project management and finance solutions for facility development projects. Agramonte was chief business development officer at Learfield Sports.


PeacePlayers named KAREN DOUBILET executive director and BRENDAN TUOHEY moved into a new role as co-founder and president.


D.C. United promoted SAM PORTER to chief strategy officer.


USA Volleyball named PETER VINT chief of sport. Vint was previously the performance director for the INEOS 1:59 Challenge.

Minor League Baseball announced Eastern League President JOE MCEACHARN the winner of the Warren Giles Award recognizing outstanding service as a league president; KIM PARKER, general manager of the Burlington Bees, as the Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year; and Sports Field Managers of Year MATT PARROTT of the Charlotte Knights for Class AAA; BROCK PHIPPS of the Springfield Cardinals for Class AA; MITCH HOOTEN of the West Michigan Whitecaps for Class A; and ROSS BARON of the Vancouver Canadians for Short-Season/Rookie.

The Premier Lacrosse League named DAVID O’CONNOR to the PLL board of directors. O’Connor is the former president and CEO of Madison Square Garden Company.
