Vision and expansion of WISE directly attributed to Kristi Atkins

This letter is in response to the Forum column (“Marketing execs reflect on legacy of Kristi Atkins”) that appeared in our June 24-30 edition.

Thank you for the wonderful column highlighting the life, career and legacy of the remarkable Kristi Atkins.

As WISE National President Kathy Francis noted in the 25th annual WISE Women of the Year Awards Luncheon’s opening remarks, Kristi was singularly responsible for the organization’s rapid and robust chapter expansion. WISE has 27 chapters in the United States and Canada. This is a direct result of Kristi’s dedication, passion and intellect.  Her warmth and collegial spirit were second to none.

We are grateful for her vast contributions and will miss her dearly.
