More words of wisdom on subject of leadership

This letter is in response to the Forum column (“Champions talk leadership, building a career in sports”) that appeared in our April 22-28 edition and featured advice from our 2019 class of Champions at World Congress of Sports.

Here are my nuggets on leadership:

Half of being smart is knowing what you’re dumb at.
■ Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn.
■ It should never be about the money, it should be about what is fair.
■ If you’re too big to do the small things, then you’re too small to do the big things.
■ Evolve or die.
■ You will do great things if you love what you do.
■ Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.
