The Baltimore Orioles hired MIKE ELIAS as executive vice president and general manager and SIG MEJDAL as assistant general manager.

 

The Texas Rangers promoted WADE HOWELL to vice president and JANELL BULLOCK and JON CLEMMONS to assistant general managers for the Class A-Advanced Carolina League Down East Wood Ducks.

 

The Class A-Advanced Carolina League Myrtle Beach Pelicans hired RYAN WATERS as director of business development.

 

Basketball

The Heat Group hired CHRIS MARCIANI as vice president of corporate partnership and activation. Marciani was vice president of tournament revenue for the PGA Tour.

 

The Milwaukee Bucks promoted ARVIND GOPALRATNAM to vice president of corporate social responsibility and executive director for the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation.

 

Colleges

The Big Sky Conference named TOM WISTRCILL commissioner. Wistrcill was senior vice president for Learfield.

 

Baylor University hired ERICA SCHILLING as associate athletic director and athletics chief of staff. Schilling was associate director of development at Kansas State University.

 

Florida State University promoted ASHTON HENDERSON to assistant athletic director for student-athlete development.

 

The University of Kansas hired TERRY PRENTICE as assistant athletic director for major gifts, track administration and diversity initiatives. Prentice was director of development for the Razorback Foundation at the University of Arkansas.

 

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette hired DUANE BAILEY as deputy athletic director and chief financial officer. Bailey was deputy athletic director and chief financial officer at Seton Hall University.

 

Miami University promoted NICK SMITH to assistant athletic director for major gifts and associate director of development.

 

Michigan State University Deputy Athletic Director GREG IANNI will retire from his current duties effective Jan. 31, 2019. Ianni will work in an advisory capacity through the remainder of his contract, which ends June 30, 2019.

 

The University of Missouri-Kansas City hired BRANDON MARTIN as athletic director and CHAD WALLER as athletic communications director. Martin was athletic director at California State University, Northridge, and Waller was director of athletics communications and media for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

 

Robert Morris University Athletic Director CRAIG COLEMAN will step down, effective Dec. 7, after 13 years in that role.

 

The University of Vermont promoted NICH HALL to director of athletic communications and broadcasting and PETE ESTES to director of CatamounTV.

 

Facilities

Chase Center hired CHARLES MARINO as vice president of security. Marino was a partner at Opsec Alliance Partners.

 

Memphis International Raceway hired TIM PACKMAN as president. Packman was president for Lancaster (N.Y.) National Speedway and Dragway.

The Farmers Insurance Open and Century Club of San Diego hired JULIA WINTERas senior manager of partnerships. Winter was manager of premium sales for the San Diego Padres.

Seattle Hockey Partners named VICTOR DE BONIS chief operating officer and KEN JOHNSEN construction executive for OVG-Seattle.

Phillips Nizer hired EDWARD SCHAUDER as a partner in its New York office. Schauder was general counsel and executive vice president of licensing
for Steiner Sports.

Legends and JMI hired MATT O’BRIEN as senior vice president of partnership development for its Notre Dame Global Partnerships.

The Chicago Fire hired KYLE SHELDON as senior vice president of marketing. Sheldon was vice president of marketing for the Seattle Sounders.

Columbia Sportswear hired TROY SICOTTE as vice president of sales for North America for its Mountain Hardwear brand. Sicotte was global director of sales for 034Motorsport.

StubHub hired GREG MRVA as chief financial officer. Mrva was managing director of global internet banking for Morgan Stanley.
