Turner taking ‘Road Show’ to All-Star Game

Turner Sports for the first time will create a fan festival of its own around the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans.

The network will launch an All-Star version of its “NBA on TNT Road Show” that it built adjacent to Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena during the NBA’s opening night this season. In Cleveland, Turner created a 75,000-square-foot interactive space featuring TNT’s broadcast of its “Inside the NBA” show, live musical performances, interactive fan displays, pop-up stores and food trucks.

A similar Turner-run fan experience venue is expected in New Orleans.

Turner is expected to disclose details of its All-Star road show venue this week, but sources said the fan festival will be located outside the Smoothie King Center and will run from Thursday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 19, of All-Star week. It is expected to be free and open to the public.
