There were a couple of weeks in mid- to late October when Shanks saw the promise of FS1. Thanks to the popularity of the Cubs, FS1 set network viewer records for the MLB playoffs, which then lifted the viewer numbers for all other shows on the network. Shanks’ agreement to get Big Ten rights shows his commitment to keep big events on the channel.
