Terrapin Taproom planned for The Battery

Terrapin Beer Co. and the Atlanta Braves will have a new taproom and microbrewery at The Battery Atlanta, adjacent to SunTrust Park. The Terrapin Taproom will be a restaurant operated by Delaware North. The Taproom also will feature Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. Next to the taproom will be the ATL Brew Lab, a microbrewery where
Terrapin will experiment with different styles of brewing.

DALLAS
New season, new app for Mavs

The Dallas Mavericks launched a new app in time for the 2016-17 season, with enhanced ticketing and digital content. Developed by Tixsee, the app features ticket purchases and mobile ticketing through the Ticketmaster API. Other features include real-time traffic updates, in-arena restaurant locator, the Mav Gear shop, player profiles, stats and Mavs social media accounts.

FOXBORO, MASS.
Pats on board with Uber

The New England Patriots partnered with Uber for the company to become the official ride-sharing partner of the team. Uber will have a dedicated area at Patriot Place. Patriot365 season-ticket members will earn 75 cents for every Uber trip they take, which can be redeemed toward season-ticket purchases.

HOUSTON
Dynamo fills up with 76 brand

The 2017 Houston Dynamo season will be presented by 76 brand gasoline. The sponsorship makes the 76 brand the exclusive retail gas sponsor of the Houston Dynamo and is the club’s fourth official premier partner.

KANSAS CITY
New display system set for arena

Sprint Center commissioned Daktronics to design, manufacture and install a new six-display center-hung video system. It will feature four main video displays, each measuring 19 feet high by 22 feet wide. Two-foot-high ribbon displays will be installed above and below the main center-hung displays.

MANCHESTER, N.H.
Uber signs on with Monarchs

The Manchester Monarchs, ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, signed Uber as the official “Safe Ride Home” sponsor for all games at SNHU Arena. The Monarchs and Uber will provide a dedicated pick-up/drop-off location outside the arena on Lake Street.

MEMPHIS
Bank sponsor names club level

The Memphis Grizzlies signed Pinnacle Financial Partners as the official bank of the team and FedEx Forum. A new co-branded debit card features the Grizzlies’ primary icon. The partnership provides exclusive naming rights to the newly dubbed Pinnacle Level concourse and seating area at the arena (formerly known as the Club Level).

MIAMI
HMS elects a Presidente

Homestead-Miami Speedway and Presidente Beer reached a new partnership that will begin at Ford Championship Weekend, Nov. 18-20. Presidente will have the naming rights for the pavilion at the track’s display area, as it will now be referred to as The Presidente Caribbean Café. Presidente also will have an expanded presence at various locations around the track.

NASHVILLE
‘Suites-N-Treats’ at ballpark

The Nashville Sounds Foundation will host its second annual “Suites-N-Treats” event on Wednesday at First Tennessee Park. The event is designed as an opportunity for underprivileged youth to trick-or-treat in a safe and fun environment. Children can walk the club level at the ballpark and visit each decorated suite to collect treats.

NEWARK
Jeep rolls into arena deal

The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center named Jeep the exclusive non-luxury vehicle of both the team and the arena. Sponsorship activation will include extensive Jeep branding and experiences in and around the venue.

ORLANDO
Magic dedicating night to nightclub victims

The Orlando Magic’s opening night on Wednesday will be dedicated to the 49 victims of the June 12 attacks at Pulse nightclub. Plans include a tribute video highlighting the city’s unity. The team also will hold a moment of silence and honor first responders from the night of the attacks as “Hometown Heroes.”

PHILADELPHIA
Union opens new training center

The Philadelphia Union unveiled its new training center in a renovated industrial facility adjacent to the team’s Talen Energy Stadium. The 16,500-square-foot center is part of the team’s Power Training Complex. The center’s features include a hydrotherapy suite, infrared sauna, a video screening theater, a players lounge and catering facilities. The team announced earlier this month a naming-rights partnership for the new facility with the Power Home Remodeling Group.

PHOENIX
Suns, Mercury sign printing partner

The Phoenix Suns and Mercury reached a new multiyear marketing partnership with Pacific Office Automation as the team’s official print solutions partner. The deal includes the new Pacific Office Automation Courtside Club, an exclusive hospitality area at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Youtheory will also be the official health supplement of the track.

PIR supplements restart zone
Beauty supplement brand Youtheory was named the official sponsor of the Restart Zone at Phoenix International Raceway for the Can-Am 500 race weekend on Nov. 11-13. The Youtheory partnership marks the first sponsored restart zone at the track.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.
Bills extend with St. John Fisher

The Buffalo Bills will keep their summer training camp at St. John Fisher College for the next five years. The Bills have held camp at the school since 2000. Management has credited that location with helping to regionalize the team’s fan base as some 18 percent of ticket holders come from the Rochester area.

Golisano donates $7.5M to Nazareth
Nazareth College will receive $7.5 million — the largest gift in school history — from Tom Golisano for the construction of a $15.5 million athletic training facility. The complex will be named the Golisano Training Center. The center also will be available to the Special Olympics for training and events. Golisano is the former owner of the Buffalo Sabres.

SALT LAKE CITY
Utes extend with Under Armour

The University of Utah and Under Armour reached a 10-year extension that designates Under Armour as the official outfitter of Utah’s varsity intercollegiate athletic programs through June 2027. The partnership includes marketing integration, student internship opportunities and scholarship support.

Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin will be a spokesman for the “Stay Back from the Tracks” safety campaign.

SEATTLE
Seahawks train tied to safety effort

The Seattle Seahawks and the Washington State Department of Transportation unveiled a new team-themed train, part of a larger partnership between WSDOT and the Seahawks to promote train safety education. The locomotive features team logos, colors and a green “We Are 12” banner on top. The train will be in service for several months, stopping at all 18 stations between Eugene, Ore., to Vancouver, British Columbia.

Wrestling HOF signs toolmaker

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum signed Milwaukee Tool to a multiyear sponsorship. Milwaukee Tool will provide equipment to the museum, and will have its logo included on the front page of the hall website at nwhof.org while also being featured on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google Plus.

TAMPA-ST. PETERSBURG
USL attendance up sharply

Tampa-based United Soccer League reported a total 2016 season attendance of almost 1.5 million for its 29 teams, a 33 percent increase from 2015. The USL drew 1,496,493 fans compared with 1,132,218 last year. The average attendance for the league’s top 10-drawing teams was 6,724, a 25 percent increase over 2015.
