Hilton ends USOC deal

Hilton is ending its 11-year relationship with the U.S. Olympic Committee, citing an ongoing review of its sports portfolio that also has led the hotel chain to not renew sponsorships of the Canadian Olympic Committee, USA Volleyball and USA Gymnastics beyond this year, a spokesman confirmed.

Hilton has been with the USOC since 2005, and it remains as a supporting partner for USA Gymnastics’ post-Olympic tour that started last week.

Publicly traded Hilton’s deals mostly revolved around its HHonors rewards program. Contenders to replace Hilton with the USOC could include Marriott, which has deals with USA Hockey and USA Swimming.
