Dinner raises $1.1M for ALS research

At the Bruce Edwards Foundation Benefit Dinner, held Aug. 5 by the Travelers Championship, which generated more than $1.1 million to support research in the fight against ALS: Nathan Grube, Travelers Championship tournament director; Andy Bessette, Travelers EVP and chief administrative officer; John Feinstein, journalist and event co-host; Jay Fishman, Travelers executive chairman of the board and co-host, who announced in 2015 that he has ALS; and Tom Watson, World Golf Hall of Famer and co-host.

Winter Classic to St. Louis

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was joined by representatives of the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks at Busch Stadium on Tuesday to officially announce the awarding of the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic to the city of St. Louis. Bettman, alongside Chicago Blackhawks President and CEO John McDonough and St. Louis Blues Chairman and Governor Tom Stillman, also unveiled the logo for the outdoor game. The game, scheduled for Jan. 2, will be the first Winter Classic game for St. Louis. Chicago hosted the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field in 2009 and played in the 2015 game at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
