In The Office: Brandon Igdalsky, Pocono Raceway

It takes only a few seconds in Brandon Igdalsky’s office to realize his family’s place in the American motorsports pantheon.

One picture showing Indianapolis Motor Speedway is signed by Tony George, the former longtime president and chief executive of that track, which is owned by the Hulman-George family.

“It’s an autographed picture of the inaugural NASCAR Cup test from July 22 and 23, 1992,” said Igdalsky, whose grandfather, Dr. Joseph “Doc” Mattioli, was Pocono’s founder. “My grandfather gave that one to me, and it means a lot because it’s such a cool piece of history with the Hulman family, and how far we go back with them, and obviously the France family” of NASCAR.

As much as he may like his office, Igdalsky said he likes to spend time outside of it.

“I’m all over the place. I get out and do things around the facility if I can,” Igdalsky said. “I was playing with our new mower the other day. I enjoy mowing, so I told our guys, ‘You may see me out there a couple more times this summer!’”
