Slade’s 40 years of experience in the structural engineering field is unparalleled in sports construction. He’s an expert on the mechanics of retractable roof design dating to Minute Maid Park, which opened in 2000 in his hometown of Houston. All told, Slade has worked on more than 30 big league buildings. He leads a team of 350 professionals, including more than 75 tied to sports facilities. Current projects extend to SunTrust Park in Atlanta, the Los Angeles Rams’ stadium development, Orlando City’s new MLS stadium, and renovations to the University of Oklahoma’s football stadium.
