ESPN gathering strikes chord with alum

ODJAKJIAN
I heard from a number of people who attended the Christmas party set up by former ESPNers who were part of the company’s recent round of layoffs. One person who attended was AAC Senior Associate Commissioner Tom Odjakjian, who worked for ESPN for 13 years through the 1980s and early ’90s.

After reading the story about the party in last week’s issue, Odjakjian sent an email saying, “I was there, and it was an awesome evening. Lots of hugs to go around. People were just so happy to see each other. Nearly everyone there had started work in Bristol in the 1980s and either moved on, retired, still worked there or was part of the group let go. We’re hoping it becomes an annual reunion.”
