Baseball
The Pittsburgh Pirates hired Mike Mangan as assistant director of amateur scouting. Mangan was national amateur crosschecker for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Los Angeles Angels hired Bud Black as special assistant to the general manager.

The Cleveland Indians promoted Matt Forman to director of baseball operations, Sky Andrecheck to senior director of baseball research and development, Keith Woolner to principal data scientist for baseball analytics, William Hughes to senior adviser for amateur scouting, Scott Meaney to national crosschecker, Clint Longenecker to coordinator of amateur scouting, and Mark Allen to pitching crosschecker and short-season pitching coach. The team named Steffan Segui area supervisor in Central Florida, Mike Kanen area supervisor in the Northeast, David Compton area supervisor in North Florida and Southern Louisiana, and Jon Heuerman, Jason Smith, Mike Sopeer and Brad Tyler as regional supervisors.

The Class A Carolina League’s Salem (Va.) Red Sox promoted Ryan Shelton to president and general manager.

Basketball
The Milwaukee Bucks named Jason Hartlund managing director of business operations and new arena sales. Hartlund was vice president of Brewers Enterprises and event services for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Quicken Loans Arena and the Cleveland Cavaliers promoted Antony Bonavita to senior vice president of facility operations and Matthew Miller to vice president of operations.

The NBA hired Matthew Soloff as associate vice president of business development. Soloff was executive director of corporate sales and partnerships for the New York Mets.

Colleges
Clark Atlanta University hired Lin Dawson as athletic director.

Avila University promoted Cristina Cowan to athletic director.

Oregon State University promoted Kyle Bjornstad to chief of staff for athletics.

Tulane University named Troy Dannen athletic director. Dannen was athletic director at the University of Northern Iowa.

Rutgers University named Patrick Hobbs athletic director. Hobbs was dean emeritus of the Seton Hall University School of Law.

Finance
Citizens Bank hired Gordon Saint-Denis as managing director of sports finance. Saint-Denis was managing director and group head for sports advisory and finance for Huntington Bank.

Marketing
Learfield Sports hired Mike Trudnak as general manager at Bucknell University.

Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment hired Tim Curran as vice president and Drew Nelson as director of sales, both at Saint Joseph’s University.

Team One named Lauren Miller account coordinator and Breana Coco-Marks and Nicole LaMontagne account executives.

Soccer
MLS hired Julian Woll as manager of business development.

The Los Angeles Football Club named Spencer Ambrosius manager of ticket sales and Ryan Bishara business intelligence analyst.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Under Armour promoted Adam Peake to executive vice president of category management.

J. America Team Licensed Group hired Michael Valenzano as vice president of marketing and business development and Eric Bradle as senior director of operations. Valenzano was vice president of marketing and business development for Outerstuff, and Bradle was senior director of operations for Dallas Cowboys Merchandising, Blue Star Graphics and Design, and 289c Apparel.
 
Sports Commissions and Tourism
The Greater Columbus Sports Commission promoted Brenda Carter to executive assistant and hired Jenn Cartmille as marketing manager, Laura Brown as marketing and events assistant, Michelle Mercer as sales assistant and Taylor Franklin as receptionist and office manager.

Tennis
The U.S. Tennis Association promoted Kurt Kamperman to chief executive of community tennis and USTA national campus, and named Craig Morris general manager of community tennis and USTA national campus, and Tim Cass general manager of USTA national campus.

Other
Kitman Labs hired Gary McCoy as senior director of sports science and performance and Andy Shelton as an applied sports scientist. McCoy was director of sports science and performance for Catapult Sports USA, and Shelton was head of sports science for the Aviva Premiership Rugby’s Leicester Tigers.

ScoreBig promoted George Waterstraat to senior vice president of partner management and Larry Martin to senior vice president of sales and hired Brandon Winslow as senior director of sales for sports, James Hogg as director of sales for arts, theater and music, and Scott MacDonell as senior vice president of marketing.

Mirum Sports promoted Stephen Mariucci to sports digital business manager.

Europ Assistance USA hired Jack Krabbe as a national account executive. Krabbe was a corporate sales account executive for the Baltimore Ravens.

The Atlanta Sports Council named UPS vice president of global brand and sponsorship Ron Rogowski chair.
