Pumping up the Pistons

The Detroit Pistons and UFC held a mixed martial arts training seminar recently in Las Vegas. Members of the Pistons trained with current and former UFC athletes during the three-day event. Hoops Dreams in the Garden

Garden Neighborhood Charities held its 5th consecutive Hoop Dreams at TD Garden on Sept. 2 to benefit Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and its new high school, Dorchester Academy. ABCD received about $100,000 thanks to the 10 corporate teams who laced up and hit the legendary parquet to support the cause.
