Ballengee Group hires NFL agent Mark Slough as president

The Ballengee Group, a sports agency launched by oil industry entrepreneur James Ballengee, has named veteran NFL agent and industry executive Mark Slough as president.

Slough will work out of Ballengee Group’s Dallas headquarters and report to Ballengee, the CEO.

Slough was first certified by the NFL Players Association in 1999, and he represents a few players in the league, including Chicago Bears nose tackle Jay Ratliff.

Slough also has served as president and CEO of CES Performance and was the founder of Momentum Sports Management. Before his 17 years in the sports business, Slough spent a decade working in the entertainment banking business in Nashville.

“I am thrilled to be given this responsibility and honored to be supporting such a talented group of people,” Slough said in a statement. “I will work diligently to identify opportunities that will accelerate our growth and further our mission of transforming Ballengee Group into one of the premier sports management and marketing agencies in the industry.”

Ballengee said, “We are confident that Mark’s unique experience as a veteran sports agent along with his expertise in growing, managing and leading companies will help drive BG to the next level.”

Ballengee, one of the founders of oil transportation and logistics company Bridger, founded Ballengee Group last year as an agency focused on representing baseball players and MMA fighters. The agency has hired baseball agents and attorneys who worked at CSE, Perennial Sports & Entertainment and MVP Sports Group.
