The Chicago Cubs named Bryan Robinson vice president of human resources. Robinson was human resources leader at General Electric.

The Philadelphia Phillies promoted Kevin Gregg to manager of baseball communications.

Basketball
The New Jersey Nets and Barclays Center promoted Fred Mangione to executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Marie Chindamo to senior vice president of human resources, Kristen Bianco to director of human resources for the Nets, Mike Zavodsky to senior vice president of corporate sponsorships for Barclays Center, Andrew Newman to senior manager for corporate sponsorship development for Barclays Center, Elisa Padilla to vice president of marketing, Jeff Gamble to senior director of marketing and Kris Elvgren to senior director of partnership marketing.  

Colleges
Alcorn State University named Patric David Simon athletic director. Simon held the same position at Langston University.

Rowan University Athletic Director Joy Solomen will retire at the end of March.

Angelo State University Athletic Director Kathleen Brasfield will retire May 31.

Shenandoah University Athletic Director Wayne Edwards will retire May 31.

Facilities
Circuit of the Americas named Julie Koenig Loignon vice president of public relations and community relations, Regan Holley vice president of marketing, Fenorris Pearson vice president of human resources and Jason Asci director of ticketing. Loignon was vice president of corporate communications at Churchill Downs Inc., Holley was chief creative officer at TracyLocke Advertising, Pearson was vice president of human resources and consumer brand innovation at Dell, and Asci was director of ticketing at Southern Methodist University.

Pocono Raceway named Ricky Durst director of ticket operations.

Finance
JPMorgan Chase hired Francie Gottsegen as senior vice president of sports and entertainment marketing. Gottsegen was senior vice president of sponsorships at Wells Fargo.  

Football
The Buffalo Bills hired Katy Ryan and Don Sheldon as account service coordinators in the ticket office department. Ryan worked at The Aspire Group, and Sheldon worked with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Golf
The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial hired Mike Zinga as director of sales. Zinga worked in sales and marketing with the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.

Hockey
The Columbus Blue Jackets promoted Ellen Keough to season ticket sales account executive, Erica Ganyard to group event specialist and Caitlin Reagan to season ticket service coordinator.

The St. Louis Blues named Matthew Gardner marketing communications director. Gardner was account director at MindComet.

Horse Racing
The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission named John Ward executive director.

Palace Sports & Entertainment hired Steve Smith as vice president of ticketing, consumer sales and service. Smith was vice president of ticket sales and service for the Minnesota Twins.

USA Field Hockey hired 1996 Olympian Liz Tchou as youth development manager and Meagan Connolly as fundraising manager.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency hired Onye Ikwuakor as its legal affairs director. Ikwuakor was an associate at Bryan Cave HRO.

The Seattle Sounders named Jeff Garza director of communications. Garza was a communications assistant with the Seattle Seahawks.

Brazilian Football Confederation President Ricardo Teixeira will step down.

Livestrong named Jakob Franzen senior director of people and organizational development.

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses named William Flinn executive director.

The Women’s Sports Foundation named U.S. women’s hockey player Angela Ruggiero president-elect and named Larry Scott, commissioner of the Pac-12; Jean Afterman, senior vice president and general manager at the New York Yankees; Terri Austin, chief diversity officer at McGraw-Hill Cos.; and Indiana Fever player Tamika Catchings to its board of trustees.

WWE senior vice president of consumer products Jim Connelly left the company.
