The Arizona Diamondbacks named Patrick O’Connell player and media relations manager. O’Connell was assistant director of media relations for the Chicago White Sox. The Diamondbacks also promoted Steve Mullins to vice president of corporate partnerships, Rob Weinheimer to senior director of game operations and multimedia productions, Kenny Farrell to senior director of business strategy and operations, Caleb Jay to senior director of legal affairs and associate general counsel, Casey Wilcox to director of player and media relations, Craig Pozen to director of application development, Ryan Issac to director of baseball operations, Susan Webner to director of minor league administration, Josh Simon to senior manager of ticket operations, Dustin Payne to senior manager of marketing and promotions, Jon Willey to senior manager of multimedia productions, Tiffanie Tallman to corporate partnership services senior account executive, Tim Martin to suite sales manager, Kellie Tarin to staff accountant and administrator, Leslie Farrell to broadcasting and multimedia traffic specialist and Ashley Gilman to ticket operations specialist.

The Houston Astros hired Sig Mejdal as director of decision sciences and Stephanie Wilka as coordinator of amateur scouting.

The Kansas City Royals promoted Matthew Schulte to marketing coordinator.

The Seattle Mariners named Jeff Evans assistant director of baseball information and Kelly Munro and Fernando Alcala managers of baseball information.

The St. Louis Cardinals named Dan Kantroviz director of amateur scouting. Kantroviz was coordinator of baseball and international operations for the Oakland Athletics.

The Class AA Southern League’s Pensacola (Fla.) Blue Wahoos named Dr. Juliet DeCampos medical director and Dr. Roger Ostrander associate medical director.

The New Jersey Nets named T.J. Heaney inside sales account manager.

The WNBA’s Atlanta Dream named Peter Canalichio chief executive officer. Canalichio founded Licensing Brands.

The CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers named Garth Buchko president and chief executive officer. Buchko was general manager at CJOB-AM.

The National Lacrosse League’s Minnesota Swarm hired Paul Hutchens as an account executive. Hutchens was a season-ticket sales executive with the Minnesota Vikings.

IMG College named John Cash general manager for the Florida A&M University and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference properties.

Home Team Marketing named Terry Maruna account executive and promoted Lorien Parry to associate account supervisor and Andrea Essig to account manager.

Pac-12 Enterprises named Art Marquez senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing for the Pac-12 Networks. Marquez was senior vice president of distribution, affiliate sales and marketing for MLB Network.

YES Network promoted Gracie Mercado to director of human resources.

Premiere Networks promoted Don Martin to the newly created position of senior vice president of sports programming.

Infineon Raceway named Colin Monahan marketing coordinator.

Joe Gibbs Racing hired Jeremy Troiano and Maggie Martin as PR reps.
