The Houston Astros hired Sig Mejdal as director of decision sciences and Stephanie Wilka as coordinator of amateur scouting.

The Kansas City Royals promoted Matthew Schulte to marketing coordinator.

The Seattle Mariners named Jeff Evans assistant director of baseball information and Kelly Munro and Fernando Alcala managers of baseball information.

The St. Louis Cardinals named Dan Kantroviz director of amateur scouting. Kantroviz was coordinator of baseball and international operations for the Oakland Athletics.

The Class AA Southern League’s Pensacola (Fla.) Blue Wahoos named Dr. Juliet DeCampos medical director and Dr. Roger Ostrander associate medical director.

The New Jersey Nets named T.J. Heaney inside sales account manager.

The WNBA’s Atlanta Dream named Peter Canalichio chief executive officer. Canalichio founded Licensing Brands.

Football
The CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers named Garth Buchko president and chief executive officer. Buchko was general manager at CJOB-AM.

Lacrosse
The National Lacrosse League’s Minnesota Swarm hired Paul Hutchens as an account executive. Hutchens was a season-ticket sales executive with the Minnesota Vikings.

IMG College named John Cash general manager for the Florida A&M University and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference properties.

Home Team Marketing named Terry Maruna account executive and promoted Lorien Parry to associate account supervisor and Andrea Essig to account manager.
