Marketplace Roundup: Lionel Messi Partners With Jacob & Co. As Ambassador

Luxury watch brand Jacob & Co. signed Lionel Messi as a global brand ambassador. As part of the three-year partnership, the brand and Messi collaborated to create a limited-edition timepiece, known as the Epic x Chrono Messi (INSIDE SPORT, 1/21).

Beaurepaires is the new naming rights sponsor for the Melbourne 400 Supercars race at Albert Park, which will host the 1,000th Supercars/Australian Touring Car Championship race (Supercars). 

Under Armour announced it signed Chinese women's national volleyball team captain Zhu Ting. Zhu was a member of Team China's Gold Medal-winning team at Rio 2016 (YUTANG SPORTS, 1/21).

Italian online casino property StarCasinò was confirmed as the official gaming partner of Lega Basket Serie A’s "Italian Basketball Cup." StarCasinò's logo will be featured during all matches via LED boards, on the basketball court and with visibility on Lega Basket's online presence (SBC NEWS, 1/22).

Esports organization PENTA Sports and Munich-based sports club TSV 1860 Munich announced the formation of a joint League of Legends team. The new squad will compete in ESL Meisterschaft under the name PENTA 1860 (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/22).

Solheim Cup players Danielle Kang and Madelene Sagstrom unveiled a specially-commissioned tartan design to celebrate the 2019 Solheim Cup returning to Scotland in September. The official Solheim Cup Tartan was commissioned by VisitScotland and created by Lochcarron of Scotland (IMG). 

Ligue 2 side Paris FC partnered with bottled water brand Cristaline. The brand becomes an official provider of the club (Paris FC).
