Media Notes: Tennis Australia Partners With Grabyo To Expand Global Reach

Tennis Australia partnered with Grabyo to enhance its int'l video content strategy and expand its reach globally ahead of the Australian Open. Grabyo's cloud-based video platform will help TA's digital and social teams create, edit and distribute video clips and live streams to multiple social and digital platforms (Grabyo).

Eurosport boosted its cycling rights portfolio by adding Argentina's biggest road race to its coverage later this month. The new agreement covers the multi-platform broadcast rights to the 37th Vuelta a San Juan (Eurosport).

Red Bull awarded its U.K. media planning and buying account to Mindshare. The account is reportedly worth up to £7M ($9M). The energy drinks company kicked off a review in December, "just six months after a shake-up of its media business in North America." Mindshare had pitched for the U.S. portion of the work, but Publicis Groupe’s Starcom eventually won the account (THE DRUM, 1/9).

La Liga is reportedly preparing to broadcast live matches from the Spanish second division outside of Spain for free on YouTube for the remainder of the '18-19 season. A total of 11 games and a highlights package will be streamed every matchday in English via La Liga's YouTube channel and will be geolocated to "prevent Spanish consumers from accessing the content" (TELECOMPAPER, 1/10).
