Marketplace Roundup: La Liga Signs Int'l Deal With IMG

La Liga appointed IMG as its exclusive commercial agency for global sponsorship agreements. IMG will market packages to attract new global La Liga partners. IMG and La Liga will develop innovative sponsorship packages, taking advantage of the league's content and technology to help promote brands (IMG). 

European Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2019 partnered with Müller for the event in March. The agreement brokered and contracted by The Sports Consultancy. Müller UK & Ireland will come on board as a national sponsor for Glasgow 2019, where it will look to build on its backing of UK Athletics. The company is an official partner of British Athletics and it holds the naming rights to three of British Athletics’ major events in '19 (The Sports Consultancy). 

Envision Virgin Racing Formula E announced Erreà Sport as its official team clothing and merchandiser partner. The brand will provide teamwear for all Envision Virgin Racing staff from season five and beyond. It will also act as the official licensee for replica clothing and fan merchandise (Envision Virgin Racing). 

Man City captain Vincent Kompany signed a long-term deal with Puma. The 32-year-old, who previously wore the adidas ACE 16.1, will wear the Puma "Stun Pack" Future Netfit from the next round of fixtures (SPORTS WALLAH, 12/16).

League Two side Crawley Town partnered with The People's Pension for the naming rights to Broadfield Stadium. The company provides workplace pensions to more than 4 million people across the U.K. The partnership will run through the '21-22 season and will see the Broadfield Stadium renamed The People's Pension Stadium (CRAWLEY OBSERVER, 12/14).

BLK joined the Western Province Rugby sponsorship fold in an initial two-year deal that will see it produce Super Rugby side Stormers and Western Province jerseys going forward (SPORT 24, 12/14).

Private banking company LGT was named the title sponsor of the next four World Curling Championships outside of Canada. The sponsorship deal will run through the '21-22 season. LGT will be integrated into the new World Curling Championships logo (World Curling).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
