Marketplace Roundup: Bayern Launches Amazon Brand Shop In Germany

Bayern Munich launched its brand shop on Amazon, and can now be found as a retailer on the Amazon marketplace. To start with, the range comprises around 100 products and includes merchandise from the regular range and articles produced exclusively for distribution on Amazon. The brand shop on Amazon is initially only available in Germany. The club also introduced Apple Pay in Germany on Tuesday at Allianz Arena. Bayern's user-friendly systems will underscore Allianz Arena’s significance as a technological leader among stadiums around the world (Bayern Munich).

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo signed a multi-year partnership with the NBA to become the official partner and smartphone of the NBA in the Philippines. Vivo will reportedly be the presenting partner of the NBA Playoffs Bracket Challenge and an official partner of Jr. NBA Philippines and NBA 3X Philippines (YUTANG SPORTS, 12/11).

Chinese baijiu brand LayMau was named an official partner of the Badminton World Federation from '18-20. LayMau is the first company from Mainland China to be named an official partner of the BWF (YUTANG SPORTS, 12/11).

PayPal's int'l money transfer service Xoom announced eight-time Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt as its global brand ambassador through '20. The partnership kicked off as Xoom expanded its service to Canada. The sprinter will be part of Xoom's inaugural int'l "Money Go Xoom" campaign (Xoom). 

FIFA and the 2018 Club World Cup UAE local organizing committee signed Burjeel Hospital as a national supporter. The competition will be held in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from Wednesday to Dec. 22. The company will provide extensive medical backing during the tournament, including services for the participating teams and supporters (FIFA).
