Media Notes: China's SECA Partners With Motorsport Network

Chinese sports marketing company SECA agreed to a five-year partnership with Motorsport Network to bring more motorsport content to Chinese audiences. Motorsport Network's portfolio includes "top level" global motorsport properties such as Formula 1, Formula E, FIA World Endurance Championship, MotoGP and NASCAR. Motorsport Network will have its own channel on Zhibo.tv and will set up a Weibo account (YUTANG SPORTS, 12/5).

FloSports announced a multi-year partnership with European Professional Club Rugby to provide live and on-demand coverage of EPCR matches exclusively in the Middle East and North Africa on FloRugby.com. The platform has also expanded its coverage of the Pro14 to exclusively stream all matches to the MENA region (FloSports).

Infront boosted its football market presence through a new agreement with Sport TV and the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) for the int'l media rights to the Allianz Cup. Infront will distribute the tournament's media rights until the end of the '19-20 season on a global basis, excluding Portugal and sub-Saharan Africa (Infront).

Madrid "has emerged" as the favorite location for Amazon’s European content operations. Amazon execs have reportedly been in talks with Spanish producers for several months and the Spanish capital "now seems likely to get the go-ahead in the next few weeks" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 12/5).
