Marketplace Roundup: NFL Opens Megastore At New Tottenham Stadium

The U.K.'s first permanent NFL megastore opened at the site of the new Tottenham Stadium. The club has a 10-year deal with the NFL to host at least two regular season games every year. The megastore was opened on Tuesday by former NFL players and the BBC's NFL Show pundits Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora, and "will sell a range of apparel and merchandise from all 32 of the league's teams" (London EVENING STANDARD, 12/5).

TAG Heuer will remain a partner of Red Bull Formula 1, "despite its switch from Renault to Honda engines ending the need for alternative engine branding." Red Bull had agreed not to use Renault's name for '16 "after political problems mounted and the British team initially served notice it did not want to continue with the French manufacturer." The TAG Heuer name has been used since that period, but it will no longer do so in '19 now that Red Bull has signed a Honda deal. Despite this, TAG Heuer has extended its deal to be Red Bull's official timekeeper and watch partner until '21 (AUTOSPORT, 12/4).

Team Wiggins announced British cycling apparel brand Le Col will be a co-title sponsor of the team, which will be known as "Team Wiggins Le Col," for the '19 season. Le Col, founded by ex-professional cyclist Yanto Barker, was kit supplier to the team during the '18 season (CYCLIST, 12/5).

AC Milan announced Bioscalin as its hair care partner for the '18-19 and '19-20 seasons. Bioscalin is a product of pharmaceutical company Giuliani (AC Milan).

Western Sydney Stadium will now be known as "Bankwest Stadium" after a seven-year partnership between the NSW Government and Bankwest. NSW Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said, "This deal is important for the stadium to be financially self-sustaining, making sure there is no burden to taxpayers to cover ongoing running costs" (AUSTRALIASIAN, 12/5).

Football Federation Australia unveiled new brands for the Socceroos and Matildas. The new logos and brands for the men's and women's national football teams mark "the next major milestone in FFA's extensive rebrand project developed in conjunction with branding agency, Hulsbosch." The new look for the Socceroos and Matildas "will continue to see the squads play under the same logos," binding all men's and women's teams under a common brand to "create a unified identity for football in Australia at its most elite level" (CAMPAIGN BRIEF, 12/4).

Chinese Basketball Association team Brave Dragons announced Shanxi Fenjiu as its title sponsor for the '18-19 and '20-21 seasons in a deal worth 40M yuan ($5.8M). Shanxi Fenjiu is a baijiu brand in Shanxi (YUTANG SPORTS, 12/5).

South Africa Rugby unveiled Accenture South Africa will "champion the federation's digital acceleration ambitions" as the official digital partner for the South African Rugby Union and the Springboks (SPORT24, 12/4).

The South African FA announced Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana have a new clothing sponsorship with int'l brand D'S Damat. The three-year sponsorship includes dressing both men's and women's players at all official games. The Turkish brand will also dress SAFA execs and staff (SPORT24, 12/5).
