Marketplace Roundup: Visa To Sponsor CAF Cup Of Nations

The Confederation of African Football named Visa a sponsor of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in '19 and '21. Visa will be the exclusive payment services provider at all venues during the tournaments and will be the preferred payment option for tickets. Visa will also be the official partner of the player escort program (CAF).

The Chinese Basketball Association and Infront China renewed their partnership through '24, with the company remaining the exclusive global commercial agency of the league. Infront China will deal with the global business development and promotion of the teams. The partnership will adopt a "2-year + 4-year" model. The existing partnership was set to expire at the end of the '18 season (YUTANG SPORTS, 11/19).

Philip Morris Int'l and Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for the World MotoGP Championships, extended their partnership through the end of '21. The organizations have worked together for 26 years. As of '19, the partnership will focus on advancing the cause of a smoke-free world (Dorna Sports).

The Mzansi Super League announced Global Citizen as a partner for the first edition of the tournament. All six teams -- Cape Town Blitz, Durban Heat, Jozi Stars, Paarl Rocks, Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and Tshwane Spartans -- will carry Global Citizen logos on their jerseys. Global Citizen is an int'l advocacy with the goal of ending world poverty by '30 as part of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SA CRICKET MAG, 11/16).

Red Bull added Hyundai as a sponsor for the finals of its fighting game tournament circuit, Red Bull Conquest. The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N will be on display outside the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, DC, throughout the event, and the brand "will also host a photo booth inside the venue" (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 11/16).
