Franchise Notes: Anderlecht Suspends All Payments To Agents

Belgian First Division A side Anderlecht suspended all payments to agents, which are normally transferred monthly. Several agents are reportedly "furious" over the decision. They believe the club "must respect the agreements," especially since the ongoing corruption investigation in Belgian football "could be very long." It "remains to be seen" if the measure will have an impact on the club's winter transfer window activity. Upset agents "may not be inclined to help move players" (LE SOIR, 11/15).
